Before we talk materials, decide what the display is for. The answer changes everything else.
A single medal on a hanger is a keepsake for one winner. A rack holding 20 or 50 medals is a celebration of a whole event or a lifetime of finishes. And a display case is for an award you want to protect behind glass — a hall-of-fame piece, a corporate honor, a heritage object.
So the first question is capacity: one medal, a set, or a collection? The second is where it lives — wall, desk, or shelf. Those two answers narrow the field fast.

Materials: Wood, Acrylic, and Metal
Each material sets a different tone, and it affects cost and how your logo goes on.
Wood reads warm and traditional. It’s the default for home medal racks and marathon finisher series — something that hangs in a study and looks right in walnut or oak. We laser-engrave the logo into the wood, which gives a permanent mark with no ink to wear off.
Acrylic is the modern option. It’s laser-cut to shape and UV-printed in full color, so your event logo can be a full-color print, not just an engraving. Acrylic cases also protect the medal behind a clear panel, which is why they’re the pick for corporate and hall-of-fame awards.
Metal hangers are the smallest and cheapest. They’re usually zinc alloy or steel, and they hold a single medal. Zinc melts at 385°C and flows into the mold cleanly, so the hanger picks up fine detail — and our 88-ton die-casting machine can cast a hanger that matches your medal’s plating and color exactly. The two read as a set. That matters more than most buyers expect: a hanger in a different plating from the medal looks like a mistake in a close-up photo.

Getting Your Logo On: Laser Engraving vs UV Print
Your event logo goes on the display one of two ways, and they’re not the same.
Laser engraving burns the logo into the surface. Wood and metal take it well, and it’s permanent — there’s no ink to wear off. But it’s single-color: the color of the burned or etched surface. So a black logo on oak is crisp, but a full-color crest isn’t an engraving job.
UV print lays full-color artwork directly on the surface and is dry the moment it leaves the machine. That’s how we get a full-color sponsor logo, gradients, or a photo onto an acrylic case. It’s the same process we use for acrylic medals, and on flat acrylic it comes out sharp.
If the display is metal and needs color, we can pad-print or silkscreen instead. But for most display orders, it’s laser engraving on wood and metal, UV print on acrylic.
