This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit medalorigin.com or send us an enquiry, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Who we are
MedalOrigin (Badge Artisans) is a custom medal manufacturer based in Huizhou, Guangdong, China. We have produced die-cast medals, pins, plaques and trophies for event organisers in more than 50 countries since 2010.

2. What data we collect
Information you give us: when you use the quote form or email us, we receive your name, email address, company name, country, the message you write and any artwork or reference files you attach.
Information collected automatically: when you browse the site we receive technical data such as your approximate location (country or city level), device and browser type, the pages you view and the time you spend on them. IP addresses are truncated by our analytics provider before storage.
We do not collect payment details on this website, and we never ask for identity documents through the site.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. We use three essential cookies that keep the site working, and two optional analytics cookies that are set only after you click Accept all in the consent banner.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, or by clearing site data in your browser.

4. Why we process data and on what legal basis
To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation — this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract.
To measure how the site is used and improve it — we rely on your consent, which you give or refuse in the cookie banner.
To keep the site secure and prevent abuse — this is our legitimate interest, limited to technical logs.
5. How long we keep data
Enquiry and quotation records are kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange, so that we can pick up an old project without asking you to repeat everything.
Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months, in line with the retention setting of our analytics property.
6. Who we share data with
Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland) processes usage data on our behalf. Form submissions are delivered to us through Web3Forms, and the site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data as our hosting provider.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
7. Your rights
You may ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or object to its processing, or ask for it in a portable format.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it. To exercise any of these rights, email badgeartisans@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence.
8. Children
This site is aimed at businesses and adult event organisers. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date shown at the top. Material changes affecting analytics or cookies will be reflected in the consent banner.
